The Jean Monnet Project \u201cEnhancing the Debate about Intercultural Dialogue, EU Values and Diversity- EU VaDis<\/a>\u201d, at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, and the\u00a0Hellenic Association for European Law<\/a>\u00a0(HAEL), in collaboration with CEDLAW, and with the support of the\u00a0European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece<\/a>, co-organized an e-Conference on \u201cEU Values, Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue: Enhancing the debate\u201d, that took place on Wednesday 21st<\/sup>\u00a0to Friday 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0of April, 2021, through\u00a0Zoom platform<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The three-day e-Conference begun on Wednesday April 21st, at 11:00 Athens time. The Keynote Speaker Sir Francis JACOBS, Professor of Law and Jean Monnet Professor at King\u2019s College London, and f. Advocate General at the European Court of Justice (1988-2006), delivered a speech on \u201cThe EU and the rule of law: recent developments and current prospect\u201d. Professor Takis TRIDIMAS, Professor of European Law, in the same University of King\u2019s College, gave the introductory speech on \u201cValues, principles and rights: consensus and conflict\u201d. Professor Emeritus Vassilios SKOURIS, f. President and Judge of the European Court of Justice, President of the Governing Board of the Hellenic Association for the European Law (HAEL), and President of the Governing Board of the Centre of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL) was the Chair of the Opening Session.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The working language of this e-Conference was English and no interpretation will be provided. The event was free of charge (no attendance fee). Please note that registration is required separately for each day of the conference.
